Fretex cloth collection is part of the Salvation Army and works with a focus on sustainability and reuse of textiles. The organization works to combat alienation through work inclusion, and offers opportunities to donate clothes and textiles via letterboxes, parcel boxes or in the shops. Fretex accepts whole, clean and dry clothes, as well as shoes, belts, bags and other accessories. What is donated is sold or distributed through the Salvation Army's social work.
Fretex contributes to the UN's sustainability goals and has core values such as openness, love, profitability and commitment. Through the sale of reused goods, both in physical stores and in the online store, up to NOK 30 million goes annually to social work. With 40 second-hand shops and an environmentally friendly alternative to new clothes, Fretex promotes reuse and sustainability in society.
