Hørselshemmedes Landsforbund (HLF) is a non-profit organization based in Oslo and is recognized as the world's largest hearing organization, with a membership of 68,000 people. The organization aims to work for equal opportunities for people with hearing loss, and focuses on making everyday life easier for those with hearing challenges. HLF offers various services, including hearing testing and information about hearing, as well as insurance for hearing aids that covers loss, theft and damage.
In addition to its work for adults, HLF has its own youth group called Ung Hørsel, which targets younger members. The organization is also involved in the prevention of hearing loss in the population, and works actively with member recruitment and fundraising to support its activities.
