Huset Oslo is a non-profit organization that functions as a user-managed house and a meeting place for people with substance abuse problems, including those in heroin-assisted treatment and LAR. The organization aims to offer a safe alternative to the street, where members can feel included and equal. The house emphasizes creating an atmosphere where guests can be themselves, and where their experiences and feedback are acknowledged.
In addition to being a safe place to stay, Huset Oslo offers resources and support to both guests and relatives. Various activities are organized that promote community and rehabilitation, which contributes to a positive development for the participants. Huset Oslo is a collaborative project between the Association for humane drug policy, proLAR Nett and A-larm, and aims to be an open and inclusive meeting place for everyone who wants to contribute.
