Kirkens Bymisjon is a non-profit organization with operations in Oslo and several other cities in Norway. The organization aims to create an inclusive society where all people experience respect, justice and care. It is aimed in particular at people who are outside the ordinary working life and offers various services to counteract alienation. Among these services are the distribution of meals, as well as the sale of handmade products made by people who have challenges in the labor market.
In addition to work inclusion, Kirkens Bymisjon focuses on sustainability and offers leisure activities and family guidance. The organization has been a champion of queer love since the 1970s and is actively involved in issues affecting the homeless. By sharing stories from people they meet in their work, they seek to raise awareness of the challenges many people face in society.
