Kopinor is a non-governmental organization whose main task is to manage rights related to the copying and use of intellectual property. The organization enters into agreements that ensure payment to creators and publishers, which contributes to a sustainable economy for the cultural sector. Through its services, Kopinor supports higher education, among other things by offering compendium production and by managing the service Bolk Skaff, which enables the reprinting of out-of-print textbooks.
In addition to its core tasks, Kopinor is involved in campaigns for editor-led media and contributes funds to the development of Norwegian content in language models. The organization also publishes news and commentary related to copyright and cultural economics, making it an important player in discussions on these topics.
