MiR is a non-profit organization based in Oslo, which works to support parents, children and young people regardless of ethnic and social background. The organization aims to promote inclusion and equality, and offers a range of services such as annual conferences with a focus on men's equality challenges, art projects for inclusion, as well as computer and language courses in Ullensaker. In addition, MiR organizes family camps and seminars in Fredrikstad, as well as celebrations of International Mother Language Day and Christmas celebrations with cultural elements.
MiR also acts as a mouthpiece for individual groups in dialogue with the authorities and society at large. The organization has local teams in several cities in Norway, which contributes to strengthening the community and building bridges between parents, children and young people. With a multicultural perspective, MiR offers information, advice and support in matters relating to daycare, school, family life and community life. The vision is to increase life mastery, mutual understanding and equal participation for all involved.
