Murbyen Oslo is a non-profit organization that functions as a building conservation center for Oslo's historic brick yards. The organisation's aim is to preserve cultural heritage and historic buildings, with particular focus on the characteristic buildings in plastered brick from the city's growth in the latter half of the 19th century until around 1930.
Murbyen Oslo offers free initial inspection and guidance to farm owners, as well as advice from experts with expertise in traditional materials and techniques. In addition, they organize courses and various events related to building conservation, and engage both farm owners and craftsmen in projects to promote the preservation of this important part of Oslo's cultural history.
