The Norwegian Dance Association is a voluntary organization that is a member of the Norwegian Sports Association as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Committee. The association aims to promote the joy of dancing and togetherness through dance, and emphasizes the basic values of respect, togetherness and the joy of dancing. It encompasses a number of dance disciplines, including salsa, sport dance and hip hop, and offers courses for both trainers and judges to raise the level of competence in the dance environment.
In addition to courses and training, the Norwegian Dance Association provides opportunities for performers to find local dance clubs, which helps to strengthen the community within dance. The association also organizes dance camps and competitions, which give athletes the chance to develop and show off their skills. Involvement in social activities and inclusive forms of dance is also an important part of the association's work, which contributes to making dance accessible to everyone.
