The Norwegian Reservist Association (NROF) is a politically independent organization founded in 1896, originally under the name Vernepligtige Officerers Forening. In 1975, the union changed its name to the Norwegian Reserve Officers' Association, before it got its current name in 2022. The organization has 57 local branches and around 6,000 members, and its high patron is King Harald V. NROF's purpose is to support the Armed Forces and anchor the will to defend among its members.

The association organizes a number of activities, including a national reservist seminar, forest run, pistol shooting and NROF championships at various levels. Lectures on experiences from Ukraine are also offered, as well as field days for seniors. The members get access to legal assistance and equipment agreements, and NROF actively collaborates with international organizations to maintain the members' expertise related to the Norwegian Armed Forces. The organization acts as a bridge between the Armed Forces and civil society, with a focus on looking after the interests of the reservists and contributing to the use of the reserve as an active resource.
