Norsk Viseforum is a non-profit organization whose aim is to support visual artists and visual clubs in Norway. The organization works to promote the show genre through various measures, including political work for recognition of the genre. Norsk Viseforum organizes the annual Nordic Vise Festival, which brings together visual artists from all over the Nordic countries, and contributes to the establishment of new vise clubs to strengthen the environment around visual art.
In addition to the festival, Norsk Viseforum offers artist scholarships such as the Visestipendet, Tournéstipendet and Plusstipendet, which provide financial support to performing artists. Each month a selected artist is presented, and the organization publishes a magazine with recommendations and news related to the visual arts. To help artists develop their careers, courses in marketing are also offered. Through these activities, Norsk Viseforum creates arenas for the dissemination of exhibitions and contributes to strengthening the exhibition culture in Norway.
