Norwegian People's Aid is a humanitarian organization that has its origins in the labor movement. The organization has a broad commitment both nationally and internationally, with volunteers contributing in approximately 35 countries. It focuses on various humanitarian activities, including first aid and rescue services, as well as demining and disarmament to protect civilians from explosive hazards.
In addition to its humanitarian tasks, Norwegian People's Aid works for democracy and fair distribution, as well as offering humanitarian emergency aid where necessary. The organization has local teams all over Norway, which provide opportunities for local participation and commitment. Solidarity Youth is part of the organisation, and targets young people to promote civic engagement. Member courses and resources are also offered to support members in their work and commitment.
