NRC, or Norwegian Refugee Council, is a Norwegian non-profit organization that has been active for over 75 years. The organization assists people on the run in over 40 countries, and has a global perspective on refugee crises. NRC works with both new and long-standing crises, and offers a range of services such as emergency aid, protection, shelter, food security, clean water, legal aid and education.
In addition to direct aid to refugees, NRC engages in advocacy work and has a contingency force to be able to respond effectively to crises. The organization works with partners from both business and society to strengthen efforts and reach out to those who need help. NRC is recognized as a visible actor in humanitarian work and focuses on meeting the needs of the most vulnerable populations.
