The NRK TV campaign is a non-profit organization that has been an annual event since 1974. The campaign collects funds for various purposes, with this year's focus on the Atlas Alliance, which works to support disabled people in war and poverty. Each year the action is led by program leaders, and in 2023 it is Øyvor and Tarjei who are at the forefront of mobilizing the whole of Norway to contribute.
The TV campaign is known to be the world's largest fundraising campaign, both in terms of the number of volunteers and funds collected per head. Over 7,000 volunteers take part in the organization of the campaign every year, with the aim of 100,000 gun-carriers visiting all households in Norway on a single Sunday in October. Since its inception, the campaign has collected NOK 13.9 billion, which has provided vital help to millions of people. Each year, collected funds go to a new and important purpose, which contributes to the campaign's continued relevance and importance.
