Oslo Akvarieklubb is Norway's oldest aquarium club and aims to gather aquarium enthusiasts in and around Oslo. The club offers an active community for members who share an interest in aquarism. Various member meetings are organized throughout the year, where lectures and auctions are held. One of the big events is the autumn's big auction, which gives members the opportunity to buy and sell aquarium equipment.
In addition to auctions, the club organizes themed evenings such as an aquarium pub evening, where exciting lectures about fish are presented. The Christmas meeting is also a tradition, where the members gather to enjoy prawns and loaf. The club has a library of resources available to those interested in aquariums, and focuses on breeding and conservation of various fish species.
