PRAKSIS is a non-commercial organization whose aim is to promote artistic residency programmes. The organization emphasizes creating thematically focused, interdisciplinary communities that give artists the opportunity to develop their projects in collaboration with others. Through the PRAKSIS Youth initiative, they offer peer-to-peer art support, which is aimed at young artists.
In addition to residency programmes, PRAKSIS organizes various activities both in Oslo and online, which include talks and discussions through the PRAKSIS Pod. The organization is also involved in the sale of works of art, editions and publications, which helps to support the artists and their work. PRAKSIS focuses on the development of creative practice and cultural understanding through exchange, thereby creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration within the art field.
