The Norwegian Savings Bank Association is a business organization that represents savings banks and savings bank foundations. The association aims to develop and strengthen the Norwegian savings bank industry, which includes 84 savings banks and 42 savings bank foundations. Through various initiatives and activities, the association works to promote the interests of its members and contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
The association organizes, among other things, Sparebankdagene, an important conference for the industry, and actively participates during Arendal Week with various activities. In 2024, Sparebankforeningen will have contributed NOK 5 billion in charitable gifts, which underlines its commitment to social responsibility. In addition, the association has strengthened its insight work and member offers through organizational changes, and has recently employed an administrative consultant to support its activities. The association is also involved in political processes, such as the Financial Markets Report, to ensure that the savings banks' interests are safeguarded.
