Sparebankstiftelsen DNB is an independent foundation that focuses on philanthropic measures. Since its inception in 2002, the foundation has contributed NOK 13.4 billion to charitable purposes. It supports a range of areas including arts, culture, outdoor life, sport, natural sciences and heritage.
The foundation owns approximately 8.5% of the shares in DNB, and uses the dividends from these investments to finance support schemes. Through an application portal, they provide the opportunity for projects to apply for funding, and they also share examples of previously supported projects to inspire others.
