Young disabled people is an umbrella organization that represents 38 youth organizations with a focus on disabilities and chronic illness. The organization has over 25,000 members and works on a number of important topics, including work, education, health, sexuality, culture and leisure. Through their work, they seek to promote equality and political rights for young people with disabilities.
In addition to organizing projects and activities to increase awareness and knowledge, Young Disabled People publishes handbooks and guides that provide support and information to both members and the community. The organization also actively participates in political debates and hearings, which helps to focus on the challenges young people with disabilities face.
