Vålerenga Football Society is a foundation that was established in 2014, and which aims to promote a warmer and more inclusive society through various social projects. The foundation is part of Vålerenga Fotball, which has been active in Oslo since 1913, and has traditionally focused on facilitating physical activity and positive attitudes. Over the years, the club has engaged in social responsibility related to several issues that the city has faced.
The foundation has four main projects aimed at community development, some of which include internal tournaments and coaching courses. It also participates in projects that aim to improve the school environment and offers career guidance to people who are out of work. In addition, Vålerenga Football Association participates in international seminars, such as Football Works in Dublin, to share experiences and learn from other organisations. Through its work, the foundation focuses on inclusion and social responsibility using sport as a tool.
