WorldSkills Norway is a non-profit organization whose aim is to raise the status and quality of Norwegian vocational education. The organization works actively to increase interest in vocational subjects and recruit young people to these courses. Through various measures and events, they focus on future vocational subjects and the opportunities for skilled workers and apprentices.
A central part of the business is the organization of vocational competitions, such as School National Championship and Vocational National Championship, where young talents can show off their skills. In addition, WorldSkills Norway participates in international competitions such as the Vocational European Championship and the Vocational World Championship, where they represent Norway with a Vocational National Team. The organization also recognizes high professional achievement by awarding the Medallion for Excellence.
