The Porselensmuseet in Porsgrunn is dedicated to conveying the story of Porsgrund Porselænsfabrikk, which has been a significant player in the production of high-fired porcelain since 1885. The museum offers exhibitions that highlight the factory's long history and craft traditions, including the famous straw pattern that is still painted by hand in the factory premises. Visitors can also participate in workshops in porcelain painting, which are available for both children and adults.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum organizes various activities and events such as a Christmas workshop and a treasure hunt, which are specially adapted for children. Teambuilding activities are also offered for companies, which provides an opportunity for collaboration and creative expression in a unique setting. The Porselensmuseet is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a museum and has a strong focus on preserving and communicating cultural heritage and local history.
