Breidablikk Kanvas kindergarten is located in a quiet residential area in Sandefjord, surrounded by lush forest and varied hiking terrain. The kindergarten was established in 1989 and has three departments. With 50% of the staff as kindergarten teachers, they focus on play, language and the development of children's social skills. The kindergarten emphasizes mastering interaction and regulation, and offers a nutritious and varied diet, including fruit and vegetables at all meals.
As part of Kanvas, Norway's largest non-profit kindergarten foundation, Breidablikk contributes to improving children's upbringing and parents' everyday lives. Kanvas has 66 kindergartens and prioritizes a good play and learning environment, with competent and committed employees. At Kanvas, equality, diversity and tolerance are central values, and at least half of the employees must have kindergarten teacher training. The kindergarten also participates in research and development projects to promote innovation in the kindergarten sector.
