Tundøren AS, established in 1943, originated as Reidar A. Røed, where the company first produced medicine cabinets, shop fittings and staircases. After the war, they began taking special orders from the residents of Sandefjord and Vestfold. In 1965, the business expanded to include the production of kiosks for Diplom-Is, and delivered over 800 kiosks until 1975. In 1971, the company changed its name to Røeds Trevare AS, and from 1968 they have produced exterior doors under the Tundøren brand.
Today, Tundøren AS offers a wide range of exterior and interior doors, specializing in both classic and exclusive doors. The company collaborates with EKSTRANDS for the production of exclusive doors, and emphasizes superior insulation and quality. The doors are made with advanced material combinations developed over several decades, and each door is completed and checked by professional craftsmen. In addition, they offer accessories such as door handles for both interior and exterior doors. Tundøren AS is currently run by the 3rd generation of the family, and has developed from a local carpentry shop to one of the leading door suppliers in Norway.
