Verdensteateret Kulturhus, established in 1916 as a cinema, has developed into a central cultural centre in Sandefjord. Over the years, the building has become an important focal point for cultural activities, offering a varied programme of performances that include concerts, theatre and other events. The Kulturhuset is known for hosting the Children's Humor Festival, where well-known artists entertain both children and adults.
The Kulturhuset is available for rent and is used by both amateurs and professionals, contributing to a variety of activities in music, dance and theatre. Verdensteateret creates an inclusive atmosphere that appeals to all age groups, and functions as a platform for cultural expression in the local community. The building is operated by Fjorden Kulturdrift AS on behalf of Sandefjord Municipality.
