DNT Sandefjord is a voluntary organization that promotes outdoor activities in the region. The organization focuses on offering a versatile, inclusive and environmentally friendly outdoor activity, and is part of the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT) in Vestfold. DNT Sandefjord has access to more than 580 cabins throughout the country, and rents out the cabins Heisetra and Slirabu. In addition, they operate Svinesaga Outdoor Center and maintain coastal trails and hiking trails at Heia in Kodal.
The association organizes trips and activities for different age groups, and offers courses and education in outdoor activities. Membership gives access to local hiking tips and activities, and DNT Sandefjord has a varied hiking program that includes local trips in Sandefjord. Volunteer enthusiasts contribute to the operation of the organization, which has over 300,000 members distributed throughout the country.
