NOP Vatne is a civilian pistol club affiliated with the Norwegian Shooting Association, established on April 24, 1964. The club has a 25-meter shooting range with an associated clubhouse, located in Svartemyr in Vatneleiren. NOP Vatne focuses on safety and has its own safety rules and courses for members.
The club is open to everyone from 12 years of age, provided that they are accompanied by a guardian. Young people between 16 and 18 years of age must have written permission from a guardian to participate in shooting activities. NOP Vatne offers loans of 22 caliber weapons, and ammunition can be purchased on site. Shooting training is arranged every Wednesday, and attendance is at the main gate of Vatneleiren.
