Sandnes Church is a missionary congregation that belongs to the “Church in the Center”. The congregation has a focus on growth and offers a variety of services, including worship services, cell groups and care work. In addition, cultural activities such as Christmas concerts with gospel choirs are arranged, which help to engage the local community.
The congregation also has specific offerings such as art therapy for Ukrainian refugees, as well as a language workshop that promotes language learning and integration. A handicraft group has been established that provides opportunities for community and creativity. In addition, the congregation participates in practical tasks such as cooking and washing dishes, which strengthens the bonds between members.
Sandnes Church has its congregation center located just above the church, which provides space for activities that are not necessarily part of traditional church activities. The congregation covers a diverse geographical area, including apartment blocks close to the center as well as detached houses and townhouses in the areas of Trones, Stangeland, east of Oalsgata and Smeaheia.
