RAS - Regional Arena for Samtidsdans is an arts organization that aims to promote contemporary dance in the region. The organization offers a platform for dancers through residency programs and production opportunities, which gives artists space to develop their projects. In addition, RAS organizes artist talks, where both performers and the public can participate in discussions about artistic processes and experiences.
An important aspect of RAS is their focus on accessibility, which is expressed through the program "Pay what you can". This initiative makes it possible for more people to attend events regardless of financial circumstances. RAS also has a separate program for children, called "RAS Barn", which aims to introduce younger generations to the world of dance. The organization collaborates with Dansenett Norge to strengthen the network and exchange within the art of dance.
