Fellesforbundet Sandnes & Omegn is part of Norway's largest private sector trade union, with a membership of 175,000. The union organizes workers in a number of industries, including industry, construction, hotels and restaurants, transport and the automotive industry. Fellesforbundet is the second largest union in the National Confederation of Norwegian Employers (LO) and aims to work for a better working life, as well as good pay and working conditions for its members.
The union represents over 6,000 companies that have collective agreements, and offers a number of member benefits, including courses and professional shop steward courses. Fellesforbundet is also actively involved in political issues that affect its members, with a focus on economic issues such as wage settlements and the working environment. The head office is located in Oslo, with seven regional offices spread across the country to safeguard members' interests locally.
