Høyland Junior High School is located in Sandnes and offers education for students in grades 8 to 10. The school has a varied offer of electives and uses different learning methods to adapt the teaching to the students' needs. A practical afternoon for grade 8 includes activities such as first aid, practical math and bicycle maintenance, which gives students the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
The school places great emphasis on inclusion and international cooperation, including through Erasmus+. Students have the opportunity to participate in trips and projects abroad, such as trips to Spain, which contributes to cultural exchange and learning. Høyland Junior High School also has support from a health nurse, as well as resources available for both students and guardians. The Parents' Working Committee (FAU) and the Cooperation Committee (SU) are active in promoting cooperation between school and home.
