Lura Idrettslag is a local sports club based in Lura, Sandnes. The club offers a wide range of activities, including football, handball, basketball and floorball. For the youngest, from 1 to 5 years old, a sports school is organized, which gives children the opportunity to get to know different sports in a safe and fun setting. Lura IL has several teams at different levels, which gives members the opportunity to participate regardless of their skill level.
The facilities of Lura IL include a football field marked for American football, a training field known as Bankers-banen, and Lurahallen. In addition, there is a clubhouse that can be rented for events, as well as a football field and a small outdoor court for basketball and bandy. The club also has an area with skateboarding facilities. Lura IL is actively involved in the local community, including through participation in TV Aksjonen 2025, and focuses on being a good neighbor and social actor.
