SASIRO - The Rogaland Community Safety Centre is idyllically located in the middle of the forest and was previously a Civil Defence camp. The centre offers a varied programme of both practical and theoretical training, with a particular focus on fire protection, industrial safety, health, safety and environment (HSE) and first aid. This makes it a relevant resource centre for both municipalities and companies that want tailor-made courses adapted to their specific needs.
SASIRO works with rescue teams and specialises in tunnel safety, which is an important part of emergency preparedness work in the region. The centre also supports municipal emergency preparedness duties and helps to raise competence in community safety.
