Sandesundsveien primary school in Sarpsborg opened in August 2015 and is the newest school in the municipality. The school is approved as a health-promoting school, which means that it places emphasis on the health and well-being of its students. The school building has an area of almost 9,000 m² and is designed for grade-based teaching, which allows for adapted learning.
The school offers a number of services such as free school breakfasts and after-school activities, which contribute to a holistic learning environment. Each student is given their own iPad for use in teaching, which integrates technology into the learning process. In addition, the school has a spacious cultural arena that connects different parts of the school and serves as a meeting place for the local community.
