Kirkens Bymisjon, Skattkammeret Sarpsborg, functions as a lending center for children and young people under 25 years of age, where free loans of sports and leisure equipment are offered. The equipment available includes both summer and winter activities, including skis, ice skates, life jackets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, tents, hiking bags and hiking boots. This initiative is aimed at promoting active participation in outdoor activities at no cost.
The organization has a sustainable focus and encourages the reuse of equipment, which contributes to a more environmentally friendly approach to leisure activities. Skattkammeret also offers loans to schools and kindergartens, which maximizes the use of the equipment and provides more opportunities for children and young people to participate in activities in nature. In addition, they participate in the Year of Outdoor Activities with low-threshold offers that are available throughout the country.
