LHL Skien and Siljan is a local branch of the National Association for Heart and Lung Diseases (LHL), founded in October 1951. The organization currently has 397 members and targets people with heart and lung diseases, stroke, aphasia, and their relatives. The target group includes people of all ages, and the organization is based on voluntary efforts.
The organization offers a varied range of activities that include training and counseling, with a focus on improving the quality of life for its members. LHL Skien and Siljan is open to both members and non-members, and is actively involved in information and support related to heart and lung diseases. In addition, they offer resources such as films, webinars and brochures to inform and support those affected.
