Magasinet Bunad AS has established itself as the only specialist magazine in the Nordic region dedicated to national costumes and folk costumes. Since its launch in 2004, in collaboration with the Norwegian Folkedraktforum, the magazine has focused on promoting knowledge and understanding of national costumes in Norway. It offers articles and content that deal with research, reconstruction and production of national costumes, as well as inspiration and learning about traditional costumes.
In addition to the magazine content, Magasinet Bunad operates an online store that offers a wide range of accessories related to national costumes, as well as services related to costume traditions. There is also a supplier overview for national costume manufacturers and craftsmen, which gives readers the opportunity to find relevant players in the field. The magazine has a special focus on different regions and their unique costume traditions, and includes information on ribbons, belts, costume silver and metalwork.
