Telemark Prison, Skien ward, is a high-security institution with a capacity of 82 places. As of June 2023, the ward has specialized in receiving female inmates. The prison offers a number of services aimed at rehabilitation and restorative processes, which include program activities and health services.
In addition to rehabilitation measures, the institution has a structure for substance abuse control and substance abuse treatment units. There are also opportunities for leave for inmates who meet certain criteria.
