Korus Sør is a competence center with over 30 years of experience in the field of substance abuse, located in Skien. The center offers a wide range of services that include prevention, early intervention, harm reduction, follow-up and treatment. With a focus on inclusion and respect for people with substance abuse challenges, Korus Sør works to raise professional competence and support the development of better services in the region.
The center has an activity center that is adapted to the needs of young people, as well as Spillrommet37, which functions as a social meeting place. Korus Sør is staffed by 18 committed professionals who work to communicate and build substance abuse expertise in Vestfold and Telemark, Agder and parts of Viken. In addition, the center is actively engaged in research and mapping of substance abuse-related issues, with the goal of understanding the consequences of substance abuse for individuals, families and others affected.
