Sparebankstiftelsen Telemark is a foundation that aims to support initiatives for children, young people and the local community in Grenland and Telemark. The foundation is a long-term owner in SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge, which helps to continue the traditions of the savings bank sector. Through its work, the foundation focuses on combating exclusion and increasing the power of innovation in the region.
To achieve its goals, Sparebankstiftelsen collaborates with local actors to develop new solutions in working life. The foundation also offers part-time jobs for young people in collaboration with municipal nursing homes, which gives young people opportunities to gain work experience. In 2024, the foundation has allocated NOK 75 million to 157 initiatives, which are aimed at creating faith in the future and strengthening the local community.
