The main task of the Rogaland State Prosecutor's Office is to contribute to reducing crime through targeted criminal case processing. This includes, among other things, organized crime, computer crime and international crimes.
The State Prosecutor's Office is also responsible for ensuring that Norway does not become a haven for serious criminals. In addition, it functions as a nationwide unit for economic and environmental crime, known as Økokrim.
