Steinerbarnehagen Bukkene Bruse is a private kindergarten located in Hillevåg, Stavanger. The kindergarten, which was completed in 1990, is inspired by organic architecture and focuses on the needs of children. It has five departments: Rosenrød, Snehvit, Tornerose, Tyrihans and Askeladden, which are adapted to different age groups. Tornerose and Tyrihans are toddler departments for children aged 1–3, while Rosenrød and Snehvit accept children from 3–6 years. Askeladden is an outdoor group that spends most of its time outdoors.
The kindergarten has a large nature plot that includes bushes, trees, a kitchen garden, a carpenter's shop and a barbecue hut, which gives children the opportunity to explore and learn in natural surroundings. Organic cooking is a central activity, and the kindergarten emphasizes participation in everyday life. There is also an interdisciplinary kindergarten team that contributes to a varied learning environment. For those interested, lectures on Steiner pedagogy are offered.
