Steinhagen kindergarten is a union of six kindergartens, which include Nymansveien, Ramsvigskogen, St. Svithun, Steinhagen, Varden and Vassøy. Together they house approximately 300 children and have around 100 employees. The kindergartens emphasize community and cooperation, which is a central part of their educational approach.
The kindergartens implement the Stavangerbarnehagen mit 2030 strategy, which aims to raise the quality of the kindergarten offer. They offer interdisciplinary kindergarten teams to ensure a varied and comprehensive offer for the children. In addition, Steinhagen kindergarten has an active parents' association and a parents' committee, which contributes to good cooperation between home and kindergarten. All kindergartens follow the Kindergarten Act and the framework plan for content and tasks, which ensures that they meet the national requirements for kindergarten operations.
