The Museum of Archaeology, University of Stavanger, is a museum that focuses on archaeological finds and historical periods in Rogaland. The museum offers a number of exhibitions, including the anniversary exhibition "Secrets of the Cathedral" and the activity exhibition "Anno 1125". In addition, a Stone Age exhibition titled "Finding Home" is presented, which gives insight into the lives of people in this period.
The museum also organizes various activities and courses, such as blacksmith courses, weaving courses and tours, as well as a summer program at Jernaldergården. In the anniversary year, which has a medieval theme, the ten most important archaeological finds in Rogaland are also highlighted. One of the most notable discoveries is an untouched Viking hoard, which has received considerable attention. The museum is managed by Kristin Armstrong-Oma.
