Workers Cottage is a museum located in Stavanger, representing a restored 1836 Regency style home. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to experience interiors from two different time periods, specifically from around 1920 and around 1960. The exhibition features authentic household products and objects that provide an insight into everyday life during these periods.
The museum was transferred to Stavanger Museum in 1997 and opened to the public in 2000. It has a strong focus on preserving the historical atmosphere and details of the home. Workers Cottage is located near the Norwegian Canning Museum, which can provide a holistic experience of local history. The museum is open to visitors during the summer months, and it is also possible to arrange visits in the autumn and winter.
