FRI Rogaland is an organization that works for the rights and equality of LGBTQ+ people. With over 300 members from Rogaland and some from other parts of the country, they offer support and advice to queer children and young people. The organization focuses on raising awareness and education about queer issues, and aims to create an inclusive and safe environment for everyone.
Every year, FRI Rogaland organizes the festival "Stavanger på skeivå" in September, which is their largest event. The festival includes debates, parties, film screenings and excursions, and aims to promote acceptance and understanding in society. In addition to the festival, they run weekly social activities and have several active subgroups that contribute to the community. The organization's main goal is to ensure that gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people in Rogaland can live an equal life without discrimination.
