Skoleskipet Gann is a historic school that offers maritime education with a focus on community and practical learning. Since 1953, the school ship has been part of the education system in Norway, and now offers education programs within VG1 Engineering and Industrial Production, VG1 Electrical and VG2 maritime subjects. The school aims to prepare students for a career in maritime professions and technical subjects.
In addition to education, Skoleskipet Gann offers summer cruises under Christian auspices, including trips to the North Cape, the Vesterhavsøyene and Trondheim. The school is also looking for qualified staff, including sailors and repairmen with versatile backgrounds, as well as electricians and ship electricians. For travel to the UK, an electronic travel authorization (ETA) is required.
