Våland School is located in the heart of Stavanger and has approximately 550 students. The school offers education from grades 1 to 7 and has a total of 23 classes. In addition to the regular school work, the school has an after-school program known as Kanutten, which provides care and activities for students after school.
The school also has a school health service available to the students, as well as an active parents' working committee (FAU) that contributes to the school's development and cooperation between home and school. Våland School participates in "The Cultural School Backpack", which gives students the opportunity to experience various cultural activities. There is also emphasis on traffic safety around the school, and there is a committed school choir and school band that contribute to the social and cultural environment.
