The ship Sandnes in the harbor offers maritime courses with a focus on practical experience aboard an icebreaking rescue cruiser. The company has been running courses since 1992 and has developed a high professional standard with a practical approach to teaching. The courses are arranged in cooperation with boat associations, companies and teams, and give participants the opportunity to navigate and maneuver vessels.
The ship Sandnes is approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate for several certificates, which ensures the quality of the training. In addition, the company has entered into a dealer agreement with the Norwegian Nautical Chart Agency, which provides access to fresh nautical charts. To meet the needs of recreational skippers, they have also developed their own online courses. Previously, they have used the listed ship POSEID in their teaching.
