Stavanger JuShinKan Aikido is the only Aikido dojo in Stavanger. The school is a registered member of the Norwegian Sports Federation (NIF), the Norwegian Martial Arts Federation (NKF) and the Norwegian Aikido Federation (NAF). It offers a varied training program that includes special programs and camps for youth, as well as summer camps that combine Aikido with Japanese culture.
In addition to youth training, the dojo has a separate program for seniors (50+) with a focus on balance and coordination. The social aspect of the training for this group is emphasized. Stavanger JuShinKan Aikido also collaborates with other Aikido clubs to arrange youth activities, and Ariga Sensei holds seminars in Norway. During the camps, it is possible to borrow uniforms and weapon bags.
