HABU Stavanger - Children and Youth Habilitation is a department that offers specialist health services for children and young people with disabilities aged 0 to 18 years. The department focuses on interdisciplinary assessment, diagnostics, treatment and guidance, and aims to facilitate coping, independence and participation in society.
To support patients and their families, courses are arranged that are adapted to both patients, parents and partners. HABU Stavanger collaborates with various agencies such as kindergartens, schools, educational-psychological services (PPT), GPs, NAV and municipal health and care services to ensure a holistic approach to habilitation. Professional staff at the department include occupational therapists, physiotherapists and clinical nutritionists, all of whom contribute their specialist expertise to meet the needs of the young patients.
